I posted about this recently. I had 2 interviews lined up this week. First interview was for CS in a role I really want. Second interview was for an equally respectable company and a very good job role.
Both interviews went well (I think!), and I was told by CS that the would be looking at letting people know on Friday. Second job also said the same.
The second place phoned me yesterday and offered me the position, and they seemed really keen to get me in ASAP. The manager told me to have a think and get back to her today to let her know.
I’m still waiting to hear back from CS, I know it’s only 10am, but their decision affects where I go from here. If I’m unsuccessful with the CS then of course I’ll go for the second job, but I don’t know if I’m going to hear back from them today. The 2 interviewers did say Friday, but I don’t know if that’s set in stone. I’ve heard hiring in the CS can take a while and I don’t want to keep the second job waiting for too long.
Should I wait it out for as long as possible? I’m hoping they let me know before 2ish so I know where to go from there, but I appreciate that these things aren’t always straightforward and things could crop up.
I’m just so anxious, I’d really love this position and it would be an amazing opportunity for me. I’d be gutted if it was a ‘no’, but I’d completely respect that decision and just chalk it up as someone more experienced being hired.
