Does anyone else wonder what this is all about, a lot of people worry over this kind of thing. I mean where are the police expecting everyone to go once they’ve grabbed their bags, and what are they expecting to happen? (if anything) Confused

here already was a thread on it and. it takes 10 seconds to google that it's a US thing and it's promoted in September for all kinds of things. Extreme weather, natural disasters, terrorism... Anything.

They should have said it's for example for Scottish extreme weather though

I do agree with the Moet grab a bag😂

I wonder about this. Why? Well as an example the residents of Whaley Bridge were evacuated recently as the dam was at risk of breaking. In those circumstances a grab bag would be a very good idea.

I had a leaflet from the council once, maybe last year, about packing a grab bag. It did worry me that maybe they knew something I didn't. Not enough for me to actually pack one though 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have a grab bag. We live on the edge of a forest that a few years back had a big fire. A few streets got evacuated (not us!) but it does make sense.
