To wish my anxiety would stop!

Does anyone else suffer from this? It makes me feel like shit! I was on tabs for 3 years, changed my diet, exercised, had CBT and came off the tabs about 4 months ago as felt much better.

Last 2 weeks, it has come back with a vengeance! It seems the slightest bit of stress in my life is enough to trigger it.

Will it ever go away? Has anyone else stopped tabs and then had to go back on them again as I fear that’s where this is heading.

The feelings in my body are horrible.

Go back on the medication. There's no shame in it. Millions of people are are on anti anxiety/depression meds . Ive had AD in the past but stopped for pregnancy. Its definitely tied to my hormones no doubt about it. I'm on holiday atm and had such a bad day yesterday with waves of adrenaline running through my body. Intrusive thoughts ect. Last June had an anxiety attack and was on the floor for 2 hrs. ( unfamiliar environment must be a trigger. It's staggering how shit you can feel it mentally and physically- but I'm absolutly fine most days ( to a certain degree) I'm going to the doctors as soon as I get home and im going to get some medication.
If it helps you enjoy life a bit more then I have no qualms. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you. It’s a battle mentally that’s for sure.

I seem to be managing on generally running on 35% anxiety at all times. I have given up trying to get it to 0%!

It’s so hard to explain to people who haven’t experienced it too. An invisible illness. I’ll go back to the docs I think

I think a lot of people say they have anxiety to refer to normal stress. Therefore people roll their eyes and say it's playing the 'anxiety card' which doesn't help.

Yeah I think anxiety is hard to explain
It’s not just stress it’s like your own mind plotting against you all the time

I’ve just re-started sertraline a couple of weeks ago.

Anxiety was running out of control and I was/am spending the evenings basically terrified of life, death, everything. Lots of intrusive thoughts. It’s bloody horrible and exhausting.

Go back on the medicine, there’s no shame in it.
