To ask who the 3% are?

Since AIBU introduced the "vote" function, there always seem to be 3% who vote the "opposite" way. I'm not talking about the threads where there can easily be two ways of interpreting a situation and deciding whether someone is BU or not, but those threads where it's surely bloody obvious!

I'm starting to think someone could post saying their next door neighbour broke into their house during the night, pissed on their TV, murdered the hamster and stole all the teaspoons, and the same 3% would think this was perfectly OK and how unreasonable the OP is to be upset about it.

So who are these 3%? Are they trolls? Or do they really think that any kind of behaviour is OK?

Stole all the teaspoons? (Clutches pearls) the bastards Grin

The 3% didn't read carefully and voted the wrong way by mistake. Shall we blame them for Brexit?

DanielRicciardosSmile · 11/09/2019 06:37

It's surely the only possible explanation of where they all go!

OP posts:
TheoriginalLEM · 11/09/2019 06:38

They are goats, not sheep

Jojo19834 · 11/09/2019 06:41

@CountFosco love it!

DanielRicciardosSmile · 11/09/2019 06:42

@37CountFosco maybe so. It does remind me of the (probably fake) story of the person voting for the first time who thought they should put an X next to who they didn't want to vote for.

OP posts:
firstimemamma · 11/09/2019 06:42

I don't know how to vote, can anyone please explain it to me?! Tia

DanielRicciardosSmile · 11/09/2019 06:43

Sorry @CountFosco I have no idea where the 37 came from!

They might been that the thread is a pile of vacuous crap, the AIBU has been shoehorned in, and that it was unreasonable to do that

Boyskeepswinging · 11/09/2019 07:06

I voted the "wrong" way once because the train jolted and my finger hit the screen by accident. I have read several threads where other posters have discussed having voted the "wrong" way by accident, too, so a 3% error rate could be realistic?

onlyconnect · 11/09/2019 07:15

I don't know how to vote either! Can it be done on the app or just the website?

Actionhasmagic · 11/09/2019 07:16

I wish you’d put a vote on this!

DanielRicciardosSmile · 11/09/2019 07:32

I should have done! I guess it must be accidental, it just struck me as odd that it always seems to be 3% deciding that unreasonable things are perfectly fine.

I don't use the app myself, so I don't know whether the vote function is on there, but it appears under the opening post with two buttons to vote YABU or YANBU. It's not on every post though, it has to be activated by the OP.

OP posts:
WhyBirdStop · 11/09/2019 07:34

People don't realise once you've voted you can change your vote if you've made a mistake.

EllieBellend · 11/09/2019 07:38

It's not on the app. Shame, I have a definite view on some posts!

daisypond · 11/09/2019 07:39

People get confused with what is being asked, especially if there’s double/triple negatives in the problem. Even AIBU has a negative in it, which can mean people get confused when asked to agree or disagree.

pooboobsleeprepeat · 11/09/2019 07:51

Brexiteers

Abibranning · 11/09/2019 11:01

Once it was me. I voted when scrolling - stupid over sensitive phone

FadedRed · 11/09/2019 11:07

They are the small minority of left-handed people who accidentally touched the YABU whilst scrolling done the page (holding their device in their left hand).

TheoriginalLEM · 12/09/2019 08:29

I find it interesting that the vote often doesn't represent what is posted by respondants

Yes so do I. I like voting for this reason alone
