Lasagne sat in warm oven for half an hour (didn't realise oven had been switched off after cooking fussy DS fish fingers)

Turned oven on when I realised and cooked as normal.

Are we all going to be horribly ill?

Of course not.

DitheringBlidiot · 10/09/2019 20:47

No you’ll be absolutely fine, this wouldn’t even cross my mind as an issue

No, half an hour is fine. I think the FSA say up to two hours out of the fridge is ok.

ShirleyPhallus · 10/09/2019 20:50

Literally zero chance. Don’t you ever put stuff in the oven cold and then wait for the oven to heat up while it’s in there?!

Enjoy your lasagne

Weedsnseeds1 · 10/09/2019 20:51

If you cooked the meat sauce first it's fine. If you had raw beef mince in it then possibility of verocytoxin producing E. Coli giving you all kidney failure. But probably OK. I'd risk it!

MsVestibule · 10/09/2019 20:55

Weedsnseeds1 is putting raw mince in a lasagne even a thing Confused? Surely everybody makes it into a bolognese sauce before layering it with a sauce and then cooking it?

SierraHotelIndiaTangoHappens · 10/09/2019 20:56

Yeah mince was definetly cooked first!
