Nightmare kids next door to us, not their fault, their parents take no notice of what they do. Consequently they run wild & don't have boundaries like respecting others properties.
An issue has presented where they've been throwing things at my property that could cause damage (while I've been out, they're savvy enough to only do these things when people aren't home). Thankfully no damage yet but it's only a matter of time if the situation continues.
I raised it with one parent who admitted it was their youngest child. Didn't seem overly bothered, no apology, just a comment they'd speak to their kid as they took the thrown items.
So I'm not relying on them to stop this happening! And my only course of action seems to be catching the kids doing any damage. But if I'm out when they do these things...
So I've been considering CCTV or similar. First impression is ££££££, I'd rather not spend £150 or more to monitor someone else's kids around my property as money isn't flush. I spoke to a local community PC who suggested a dash cam but from what I can see their charge wouldn't last more than a few hours & storage of footage is a few hours based on memory cards - no good if we go for a day out or away for a few days.
Wondered if anyone had any advice or alternative ideas?
(NB there is no point re-approaching the parents!)
