To be annoyed at something so little?

I've recently decided to give up meat. I'm not going to go full vegan, just veggie.
I've told my DP this and he turned around and went on, "well what am I going to eat?!"
I do all the cooking in the house.
I explained I would still prepare his meals with meat, just that I wouldn't be eating the meat.
He was genuinely annoyed and said "well we're going to have to do 2 food shops and have 2 separate meals a night".
I've said that I would do the research and come up with meals we both could have and I wouldn't have the meat.

He then huffed and it was the end of the conversation.
I haven't eaten meat for a week and I honestly feel better for it. But I can't help but think he is not going to be supportive of this long term.
Aibu to be annoyed at him for not supporting my decision?

Does your DP always have such little imagination? I’m pescatarian, DH and DD aren’t. We don’t make 2 different meals every night. Sometimes they eat veggie, other times I just switch the protein - eg they have meat sausages, I have veggie ones, they have chicken, I have fish. It’s really not difficult at all.
