So little miss has been on and off the breast since 21:30 this evening. We’re still at it now at 03:08. Every time I put her down and I think she’s done she stirs and gives her normal feeding cues. I’m not bothered I just wondered if any one has been in the same boat and has got any advice for a first time mum who’s run out of snacks and is sleepy.

I'm having one of those night too - so you aren't alone xxx

That’s good to know. How are you passing your time? I’ve come downstairs so I don’t disturb DH and then he can look after me in the morning

Little one is only 4 days old and actually this is the calmest she’s been on a night since we brought her home.

Honestly the best thing I did was set up a safe co-sleeping place and learn to feed lying down- I don’t really wake up now, he just feeds snuggled up.

Yup! I have a sleepyhead delux, that he loves. It's on the top of the bed next to me (daddy is in the spare room forever now ha ha!) have to be careful to wrap blankets around the sleepyhead and tuck under it rather than wrap blankets around baby. Also not safe to leave him in sleepyhead when I need to leave the room to go to the loo.
Have got a next to me crib in the bedroom too that I use to put him into when I need to leave the room. There's no blankets or toys in it at all. Am struggling to find s night light that is bright enough that I can see him but not so bright as to keep me awake all night. Try lots of ones until I find the right one I suppose.

We had this for hours last night. DS just over 2 weeks old. It's so tiring when you think they are finally ready for sleep and then you have to start the whole feed/wind/settle process over again.

It’s good to know that others are going through this! I’ve tried Co sleeping she just gets all stressed. I don’t think my boobs are big enough for Co sleeping

She finds it difficult to nap in her Moses basket in the day as well. I’m going to start baby wearing as I’m never going to get anything done when Dh goes back to work
