Babies & music/noise

So my baby (4 months old) seems to be going through a phase of crying unless there is music playing (it has to be upbeat music) I remember reading an article somewhere about how quiet time is important for babies development (can’t find it now). Should I give in and play music all the time or try to get him used to not having noise? At the moment I feel like we have something playing 50-70% of his awake time. Anyone else experienced this?

Mine both loved music nonstop and it kept me from going crazy. DD2 loved Radio1xtra, so I know a LOT more grime lyrics than I ever wanted to! Wink

Plus, it meant mine would sleep through anything if they fell asleep with noise.
