To be the first to jump off the sinking ship 'Boris'. Any other bets?

Amber Rudd

BeardedMum · 03/09/2019 22:30

Yes amber Rudd

Terriere · 03/09/2019 22:41

surely not Amber Rudd, she's just been on banging the drum for Johnson

longwayoff · 03/09/2019 22:57

Sajid's got his eye on BJ's job so probably won't stab him in the front. The back, however . . .

HighNetGirth · 03/09/2019 23:01

Why not Priti Patel? 100% ambition, 0% judgment.

Cluelessbeetroot · 07/09/2019 22:17

How much have I won then ?

Inebriati · 07/09/2019 22:19

A bag of peanuts and 3p from down the side of the sofa.

Just think, If you hadn't built a bridge or you didn't own any ferries you could be sitting on £33 million right now.

ContinuityError · 07/09/2019 22:26

Who’s next?

Hmmm - Matt Hancock?

Tellmetruth4 · 07/09/2019 22:28

ARs resignation letter was an epic take down. It will only be the super cult members, JRM and PP, left by the end of September (BJ will resign before then as I’m certain he’s not as strong a BeLeaver as his supporters think).

ContinuityError · 07/09/2019 22:30

Stories circulating that Johnson was on the phone with Amber Rudd at the same time that Shipman was breaking the story online.

I do hope that’s true.

Tellmetruth4 · 07/09/2019 22:35

I think Morgan or Javid next. Javid was properly shown up during his budget for using his presentation to attack the opposition and to be honest nobody really took his budget seriously anyway as there are so many unknowns it’s almost impossible to forecast how much money will be available to spend by the end of this November let alone for the next year. It was all finger in the air stuff.

He knows if he sticks around too long and is one of the last to jump ship, he’ll be forever linked with the loons, Amber jumped early enough and attacked the PM hard enough to limit the reputational damage and bag herself a nice safe seat next time (maybe Clarke’s who was retiring anyway).

Terriere · 07/09/2019 22:44

I would have thought anyone who went in with him and took his oath (oaf?) of total allegiance has already tainted themselves forever.

No bag of peanuts for beetroot because the first was Jo Johnson - his own flesh and blood! Handed a cushy job! Stabbed him in the back and then kicked him in the teeth! I did NOT see that coming Shock Grin

Because she is so Brexitty she makes Farage look moderate.

Ditto Truss, Raaaab and Kwarteng.

Terriere · 07/09/2019 22:51

Either Saj or Gove next surely?

OP posts:
longwayoff · 07/09/2019 23:00

Would Gove have the gall to do it twice? Of course he would Grin

ContinuityError · 07/09/2019 23:02

Gove has an eye on the leadership after Boris fucks it up completely. Already positioning himself. So I’d be very surprised to see him do a foxtrot oscar just now - he can smell blood.

The Saj? On message for now. But he’s never going to be a Tory leader.

TheRebelAlliance · 07/09/2019 23:08

Nicky Morgan gave a shocking interview to R4 yesterday. sold herself down the river for a junior minster post.

TheBigBallOfOil · 07/09/2019 23:09

Ambers gone!
That is bad. Oh dear. I think the game may be up

ChicCroissant · 07/09/2019 23:14

Strange that all these ministers were able to agree with Boris so recently, yet they are fleeing the sinking ship now Hmm

RedRose55 · 07/09/2019 23:24

Amber Rudd it is then!

ContinuityError · 07/09/2019 23:32

Or ... Julian Smith maybe next?

Tonnerre · 07/09/2019 23:53

A number of them very publicly said that proroguing Parliament would be unconscionable, so they've been put in a dreadful position by Johnson. Gove is certainly in danger of being dragged down by association so would be very sensible to jump ship and aim to position himself as the person best able to clear up the mess.

Bahlindah · 07/09/2019 23:56

I wonder who conservative voters should vote for in the upcoming GE. It seems on the right that's there's just two Brexit Parties these days and no Conservative party anymore.

and his vile racist wife as well?

bluebell34567 · 07/09/2019 23:59
