Initially found what I thought was rat poo in & around my daughters nappy bin (mortified to say this, my house is clean!)
On further inspection I squished one of the “poos” in between some tissue as I read to do online to see if it was fresh. It then made a crushing/cracking sound and all this gloop type stuff came out 🤢😭
Now I’m thinking it’s a bug?? I don’t know!! Wtf is it 😭

Dead slug? They shrivel up and go darker when dead.

I'll get the matches....

MyFoofIsAloof · 03/09/2019 09:32

It looks like a chrysalis.

Saisong · 03/09/2019 09:33

Is it pupae of some kind of fly?

Wingingthis · 03/09/2019 09:40

There was about 7 of them! 😢 could it still be the above with that many?

🤮 defo burn the house down

criticaldarling · 03/09/2019 09:51

That looks like a chrysalis of some sort. Now terrified to look in my nappy bin incase there's some sort of poo moth which lays them Envy

Saisong · 03/09/2019 09:53

Pretty certain its flies. If you wait any longer they will hatch into wriggling maggots!

barcodescanner · 03/09/2019 09:54

I think it's a moth cocoon

Saisong · 03/09/2019 09:55

Sorry this is after the maggot stage. More flies will hatch. There may be more maggots too

CuriousaboutSamphire · 03/09/2019 10:12

That's a pod, chrysalis, thing bugs live in before they hatch, probably maggot to fly. Double bag it and bin it. Don't feel bad, the hot weather makes it almost inevitable that flies will get ahead of you at some point.
