I don’t even know if it’s possible, google is overwhelming me so I’m hoping some of you can share some wisdom and experience.

I’d like to potentially set up a childminding business, but not in my home. Is it possible to run a childminders out of a rented building? As opposed to setting up a nursery? Not sure if it’s even be possible money wise, to make enough to live on and pay rent on somewhere. I don’t want to set up a nursery, too much involved.

Childminding is done at your home. Minding children externally to your home would not be classified as Childminding. Ofsted would not accept Childminding at a location external to your home.

Could you Nanny?

I thought that may be the case. Couldn’t really work nannying around my own children and need a more permanent income.

Is there a reason you can't mind at your home?

The mess mainly, is feel like I was constantly at work and my home wouldn’t feel like my own.
