AIBU to worry that I am sharing resources with a competitor?

I live in a small, rural town and own my own business. I have a local competitor that used to work with me who makes regular requests to borrow resources. I normally lend things as they look after my pet now and again, but i wonder if I am being slightly naive. It does make me feel annoyed when asked, but then I should probably get someone else to look after my pet...

Good point mammaries. I like to think I'm a nice person (they like looking after the animal) , but in business it's maybe bad practice to be too accommodating towards competitors.
