To wonder if I got a second job?

DH works full time 9-6, and I work 20 hours a week plus do everything (not an exaggeration, just fact) around the house and for the children, so essentially on the go all the time.

If I were to get a second job instead of having the tiny bit of free time that I currently get. Would this be considered family money or would it be mine as extra as I decided to work more instead of lazing around?

Surely you know your partner better than any of us and are the best judge of what his attitude will be?

Realistically, if you're talking about someone who doesn't do a hands turn so has pretty skewed ideas of fairness to begin with, I'm going to go with your earnings being considered family money.

Why do you need separate money? I guess as long as you and your husband are getting equal "own" money it's fine

I see all income as family money, however if you take on more hours then your DH should definitely start doing his share at home.
