... to wonder about Japan's Secret Shame

I recently watched this program on BBC Player
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0b8cfcj

I've been to country a few times on business, back in the late 90s, so a long time ago now. My times there was work related, and I did not get to travel or experience much of the culture. I did not know any Japanese people outside of the context of working with client companies. For sure the business environment was male dominated at the time (and my male colleagues did go drinking and strip clubs etc).

I really struggle to to comprehend that attitude and behaviors outlined in the program, for an advanced country. The language by the lady MP is truly shocking.

Shiori (the main person in the program) is amazing! What strength! What belief! What a drive to do the right thing regardless. I'm in awe of her.
