Ds3 has ourgrown his baby seat. Don't want to sell it but don't want to throw it away either. Anyone know of any charities that will take them? Or any organisation that actually recycles car seats? Need it gone as don't have to space to keep it

Local fire station for practice?

Women’s refuge?

Sell the covers as spares on eBay and cut the harness if you decide to take to the tip.

If in good nick offer on a freecycle board.

Xmasbaby11 · 23/08/2019 13:58

Around us people give them away or sell them on local Facebook. Plenty of people keen for a secondhand one as spare for grandparents etc.

Xmasbaby11 · 23/08/2019 14:00

Sorry just realised you don't want to sell it.

Women's refuge maybe?

Most places won’t take them as you can’t demonstrate or guarantee they aren’t faulty.

Donate to a friend or friend of a friend who can vouch for yournhonesty

Put it up for free on local social site.
You might find someone who really appreciates your generosity.
I like to pass on stuff this way.

I posted mine on FB as free and a couple of mothers who needed them collected them form the house. They were gone in an hour.
