To ask if cervical polyps mean I have HPV?

I'm sure I'm overthinking, but in a bit of a tizz. Nurse found a cervical polyp at my smear, and I'm booked in to have it looked at soon. Most sites say HPV causes cervical cancer, but does it also cause polyps??? I'm just about to stop using condoms with my partner of a year. Is it safe? Also, if it is HPV, does that mean I have the possibility of passing on warts? I've never had them nor suspected I do, but I'm terrified of passing something on. Are polyps separate from HPV, and I may be fine?

I had a polyp but don't have HPV.
You need to look at the results of the smear - i think it was my last one told me I didn't have HPV.
Also obvs you both need to get an STI check before going condom-free, particularly as you're obviously worried about this stuff.
I think if you do have HPV (or if he does) then he/you can pass it on to future potential partners. Best go to a clinic and get some proper advice and testing.
