Bday this Sunday as I’m due to hand in my MA dissertation and move house in next 2 weeks I wanted to have a nice family day. Looked at various theme parks then remembered Black Country museum I used to love and now they have a funfair and more things.
Dh has deemed this ‘too boring’ for our dc 6 and 3.5 but I think he means too boring for him. Aibu to say we will be going there and that’s that

Yes, go! My DC loves going there, and the lard cooked chips are so wrong, but at the same time, so right!

It's my birthday on Thursday and it will be spent at a gaming exhibition and then at a local cat cafe. Luckily, everyone else is happy with this arrangement.

We haven't been for ages, but ds loved it there, and I think its pretty fab. Peaky Blinders is filmed there so its more popular than ever - but it's your birthday so you get to choose anyway!

For my last birthday we spent the day doing all the house jobs that have been on my to-do list for ages. Life was really busy at the time & various little things kept getting pushed down the list in favour of more urgent stuff. It was annoying me so I insisted it was the only thing I wanted for my birthday!

Perhaps you could find some jobs that need doing around the house... I bet your DH will be desperate to go to any museum you want if you tell him the alternative is clearing the gutters or something...
