To feel like I'm a bad mum

I don't know why I'm feeling like this but I just don't feel like a good mum to my little baby Sad

He's always clean, well fed, well dressed but still I feel like it's not enough.

How can I stop feeling like this!? "Mum" guilt is really getting me down.

Hi op. How old is your baby? In the first 2 months with my ds I was a hormonal wreck. I was worried about everything and generally anxious. For me it passed over time and I got more confident as a mother. Perhaps have a chat with your HV or doctor.

How do you feel you're lacking your child?

I really really understand this. My baby is now 13 months and I have still have days like this! Mum guilt is normal to an extent. Someone once told me if you never feel guilty you aren't doing enough, the fact you feel guilty shows you are. In the end I had to speak to a professional about this. It ended up ruling my life and taking away all of the precious moments and things I was doing for my baby as I was so focused on now what I was doing but what I thought I should be. Please cut yourself a bit of slack! Feel free to private message me. I really feel for you in this x
