*Trigger Warning* To ask for sexual abuse counselling recommendations

Hi all

Can anyone recommend a good service that can give counselling to the victim of childhood sexual abuse please?

It's not for me, it's for my dh. I am looking into going private but there were also many recommendations on a post I previously created. I'm going to investigate them all.

My dh needs specialised counselling but more for the fact that his parents knew about the abuse at the time and forced him to see the abuser on a regular basis.

My dh says what his parents have done is worse than the abuse itself. His dad is now ignoring him. I think he needs a lot of help.

Try your GP they can refer for specialised counselling. Very traumatic but helped me. I agree with your poor DH, the fact my parents did nothing far more damaging than the abuse. Xxx

Whereabouts are you based?

Can you get in touch with your local SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre)?

But knowing roughly where you're based would help
