Am I a petrol station CF?

At the petrol station. Long queue of cars seemingly waiting for the pumps on the “right side”.

Two cars move from the opposite side of the pumps, no one else wants to go take those spaces so I drove over and used one of the free pumps (taking my car out of the queue).

When I was having a browse of the magazines a man tapped me on the shoulder and said “was it really worth cutting the queue didn’t get you very far did it?” He wasn’t joking, he actually said it quite maliciously.

I was a bit stunned and just blanked him until he walked away to pay but was I being unreasonable to jump the queue? Can if no one else wanted to or and use those pumps? 😩

He was batshit.

@Mygaff 😆

If nobody else moved, then you weren't a PSCF. Were the hoses the long ones that reach either side? Were the other drivers simply slow to react/ultra polite and you chanced your PSCF arm? 🤣

He should have paid attention if he wanted to use them!

Of course it's fine if nobody in front of you was using those pumps, though guessing he would have done and maybe didn't notice it was free before you jumped in

flumpybear · 17/08/2019 20:57

So he didn't want the pump yet expected to go before you even though that pump was poo-poio'd by him, you're still not allowed to use it TIL he's had his 'turn' - he's an idiot, it's about keeping the queues down not his bloody queue placement and entitlement attitude
