To ask you about sore nipples?

I’ve been breastfeeding for nearly 22 months now and have not had one problem with soreness in well over a year...
Then this week, from nowhere I have a really sore nipple! DS won’t even feed from that side now - he pulls away and points at it with a look of disgust on his face (but obviously cant tell me why!)
Had this happened to anyone else?

I was going to suggest thrush but if he doesn’t feed on that side, I can’t see how. You couldn’t be pregnant could you?

My nipples are hideously sore atm because my 11 month old has suddenly decided to develop a really shit latch, i’m Guessing due to teething. It’s making me hate BF 😭

I get mastitis constantly (I know, I need to get it sorted or wean or something) and the first symptom is always a sore nip! I suggest you Express if your baby/toddler won't feed to prevent it developing into mastitis. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you Frog
I’ve never had mastitis before!
I do also feel extremely under the weather today but assumed it was unrelated!

Could you be pregnant? It was the first sign of pregnancy with my second for me.

Holly
Thankfully, not Smile (on first day of horrendous period today!)
