Aibu to expect jacket pocket to last 3 months before developing a hole?

Maybe I expect too much? Jacket was a mountain warehouse raincoat, bought 3 months ago and only worn a handful of times, already has a hole in the pocket, I know I can just sew it up..but I expected it to last a bit longer...am I hopelessly unrealistic?

Unfortunately sometimes things aren't made perfectly the first time.

I bought a new Regatta raincoat recently because it's always been a brand I could trust. It wasn't cheap and the second time I put my hand in my pocket, it all but ripped off! I sewed it up.

I can’t believe so many other people read potato too!! I think if it said coat rather than jacket, we would have seen ‘pocket’, but our brains were auto correcting.

I rushed on to say jacket potato but you beat me to it. With butter, a splash of milk and a sprinkling of salt.

Sorry OP, does sound annoying and a bit crap.

I thought jacket potato too. I blamed baby brain but maybe we are all just hungry.

I’d check the stitching round the rest of the pocket and see if it looks like it’s going to go anywhere else soon, you should get more than three months but if it’s just a little thing I’d probably repair it myself to save the hassle of returning it.

Also read jacket potato. Also is it not a headphones hole? I've seen a few people complaining about pockets in goodies but they're designed to feed your headphones through.
