To ask your 8 year olds shoe size

Just had my sons feet measured. He’s 8.5 years old and his feet are an adult 5.5
He’s always been tall for his age but Christ, isn’t that huge? I’m only a six.
Can’t tie his laces yet and finding Velcro trainers that are comfortable in that size with no laces, in black for school isn’t easy

Any other boat feet kids out there?!

My dd is 8 and wears an adult 4 glad to read these as I though her feet were massive! A friend even commented on the size so I thought it was unusual.

DD1 turned 8 in June. Feet measured today as 2E. She's 135cm.

DD is 8 and has just been measured as a 3.5. Our problem is that she is a D width which is a nightmare as she gets older. She's the height of an 11 year old with the waist of a 6 year old, it makes clothes shopping.....interesting!

My dd hit 14 and had size 9 1/2 shoes
She’s now 22 and has to buy hers on the net as nowhere stocks women’s boots in her size
So at 22 she has to buy size 10 to allow for socks

My 8 yr old DD is a 3.5 but she's the second tallest in her year group including the boys. She's ended up with a size 4 however as her feet are quite wider

9 year old is a 6 (148cm tall) I've just had to buy him adult (women's) trainers. He also can't tie laces, but I found some elasticated ones which look like normal laces but you don't need to tie. They seem to do the job. leazy.us

My 8 and a half year old DD is a 3.5 going on 4. I am a 5.5 and am considering getting a second mortgage for the number of new pairs of shoes I am having to buy and the rate her feet are growing! She is quite tall for her age though.

I wouldn't worry too much. DD has a friend who is aged 10 and 5'7" tall...!

My daughter is almost 8 and a size 13 she is quite tall. Her friend the same age is a lot smaller she's only an 11.
