My little ladies go to a lovely excercise kids class, we pay 5 pounds for 30 mins... today the instructor arrived late at 10.40 & finished at 11, therefore the class was only 20 minutes.
When I got home l rang the gym to complain & now I feel terrible as the instructor is so nice & very good with the kids☹️

Sorry - I can't get past this

My little ladies

Ugh.

AryaStarkWolf · 14/08/2019 16:42

Well you basically got 2/3s of a class, I probably wouldn't have complained if it was a once off but would if it was ongoing. probably would have been better to say to the instructor too first off

EskewedBeef · 14/08/2019 16:44

If it's the only time it's happened and you are otherwise very happy with the service provided, it does seem a bit mean to tell tales after the event. Did the instructor apologise at the time?

peppersneezes000 · 14/08/2019 16:47

No he never apologized for turning up late at the start of class & finished bang on time. Another parent went down to the reception desk at 10.35 to say there was no instructor there & he turned up a few minutes later... The class is only 30 minutes so he missed a third of it...

Don't feel bad. He's nice but you are paying and the kids missed out. End of story. Forget about it, you did the right thing.

peppersneezes000 · 14/08/2019 16:51

Thanks yeah right ok, not looking forward to facing him next week ☹️

I’d have let it go if it was a one off. Everyone has those days where stuff just goes wrong but if it happened a second time I’d complain.

I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt unless it’s a serious first offence.

riotlady · 14/08/2019 16:59

If it was a one off I think you were a little harsh, tbh.

whattodowith · 14/08/2019 17:06

Well I teach in a college so some of my students are paying (usually through loans but still). If I turned up so late they missed 3/4 of the lesson, I would be a bad teacher and of course I would expect them to be angry.

Time is money and all that.

BiBiBirdie · 14/08/2019 17:09

Did he apologise or explain his lateness? If not, I think I would have said something to the gym too.

ChocChocButtons · 14/08/2019 17:17

My driving instructor was often a few mins late but finished dead on then. Pissed me right off. You are not unreasonable.

peppersneezes000 · 14/08/2019 17:22

No he never apologized but was talking to another fitness instructor who came up to fill in for him after another parent enquired at reception about his whereabouts.
I asked at reception if class was finished 10 mins later as he was late & she said yes class would finish at 11.10 but he finished at 11... I was pissed off as my dad's missed out & they love their little class, they look forward to it all week.

First world problems. You were U to complain. The whole exercise class for kids sounds absolutely ridiculous anyway and as for little ladies...ugh.

YABU for "little ladies". Grim! They're girls.

YANBU for complaining.

formerbabe · 14/08/2019 17:43

I'd let it go if it was a one off. Every week...? Then I'd complain

PablosHoney · 14/08/2019 17:50
