AIBU?

To want to hit dp over the head with the shovel he used to dig out a path in the garden and then announced the job was too big and left it half done?

I'm plucking mad!!!!

He tells me he'll put a path in from the patio to the garden gate as I only have wonky stepping stones. He plans it, tells me the materials to get, starts digging - then when I go out to get the slabs, sand etc., he phones me to say the job's too big and isn't carrying on.

I'm left with a 5 foot long, 3ft wide grave. If I dig a bit more, he'll fit in

It was his idea! I was worried because he's generally a diy disaster zone, but he insisted. If only I'd whacked him with the shovel before he started....

I suspect this one of those conversations that the bloke thinks has finished at some stage, but he doesn't know it will be a regular feature of exchanges for about oooh..2 years, though in a different form.

He's a bit like Arsenal..no defence.

On the dragging him into the grave, I'm going to need a little help. He's 6' 3" and about 20 stone. About 10 of us should be able to manage

Sorry WW but I'm PMSL at this thread.

In answer to the thread title - no YANBU - not that I'd dare say otherwise when you have a shovel nearby and are not afraid to use it.

Yeah my yard is torn up too. Granted that it was my brother and I paid him to do my yard, that did the tearing up. Then one day he stopped and has yet to finish it(its been months.) Finally, I reminded him the other day(I paid you and now my yard is tore up). He reasurred me he would do it and then promptly left.

I am starting to see the attraction of a grave in the garden now I have blurred my vision with a hefty slug of raspberry vodka and tonic.

He bought me a kebab for dinner to save me cooking after I have been painting half the day - seems surprised that I'm not rushing up for that early night

I'd tell him if he wants an early night he can be your sex slave tomorrow, when he has finshed the path...
