To want to strangle this child (light-hearted)

Flew back from holiday today and decided to get a cheese and ham toastie as I hadn't eaten in a while. I was really looking forward to it, when I heard the flight attendant say that there weren't many left. The family sitting next to me got asked first and ordered the LAST toastie for their child, leaving me with some hummus wrap abomination.

Child (about 9) takes one miniature bite and then says "I don't like it". Toastie gets shoved in the seat pocket and subsequently binned.

AIBU to have fantasies of wishing this child and family eternal damnation Grin? I was so looking forward to a toastie!

I would be eyeing the child up to eat 😂😂

lifeinthedeep · 12/08/2019 00:43

I would be devastated

YANBU.

See also: kids who have their own seat on public transport or at an event (while other people are having to stand) but then do not spend more than about three minutes actually sitting in it. Strangling's too good for them.

FurrySlipperBoots · 12/08/2019 00:48

Maybe they didn't like it because it was genuinely rank, full of toxic spores, and they've actually saved you from a nasty case of food poisoning? You should feel nothing but gratitude and relief!

DontCallMeShitley · 12/08/2019 00:59

You should have asked if you could have it.

HennyPennyHorror · 12/08/2019 00:59

YANBU but perhaps it was a shite toastie. Nasty cheap ham...the slimy kind.

Cheese and ham toastie on a plane?

Nah the child saved you, it would have been disgusting.
