To ask of you are going to celebrate on 1st November and if so, what exactly will you be celebrating?

Silly wind up thread from yesterday saying there is to be a 1st November Bank Holiday due to brexit and that they are going to be celebrating with Champagne (not British beer). Another (now banned) poster was having a hot tub party and invited everyone to join them. So it's got me wondering (I wonder a lot, I know) if people are planning to celebrate and what exactly they are celebrating?

And yes, I know there's a Brexit board, but I want a wider audience so to speak.

Of course you might start your celebrations at 11pm on the 31st once the bell tolls to end our membership of the EU. 31st/1st 🤷🏼‍♀️

That didn't work out so well for the 1st April celebrations 😆

perrieryay · 11/08/2019 12:25

I don't generally celebrate things that are negative for the country

Ellmau · 11/08/2019 12:35

Isn't it the Day of the Dead? Seems oddly appropriate.

QueenofLouisiana · 11/08/2019 12:38

All Saints Day, we always celebrate it in the school I work in.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 12/08/2019 19:03

Hmmm, interesting lack of revellers!

Tidy up after Hallowe'en and celebrate the end of Stoptober by digging into the leftover Trick or Treat sweets ...............................

I will just breath a huge sigh of relief and feel content that we are no longer part of the E.U, if we had stayed as the Common market i would have not voted to leave but the EU is a monster that very soon will crumble and the whole of the Euro zone will be in a major crisis

Visiting Mil's grave with flowers and giving it a bit of a clean.

Hiding plastic spiders in DH's shoes, mug, behind his shower gel, on his phone charger...

Chilling out with DS as it's a holiday here and we'll be watching Halloween films and eating Halloween sweets.

No. I can't think of any reason why I should.
