To constantly need to wee when I'm due on?

Does anyone else have this problem?

Every time I'm due on I seem to constantly need to wee. Today I took ds to football training, went to the toilet right before I left, 10 minutes after being there I was so uncomfortable I had to use the grim toilet in the hut/changing rooms, no paper or hand wash to be found.

Recently I nearly had a row with the cleaner at work because she'd closed the toilets but I simply couldn't hang on. I have a 40 minute journey to work by the time I've dropped two dc off, I can barely last, by the time I arrive I'm bursting.

Basically anything I try to do is hindered by frequent urgent trips to the toilet.

Sorry for tmi but they are big heavy wees, and the urge is very uncomfortable, unbearable to hang on. I'm not drinking excessively. 2 cups of coffee and 3 glasses of water in a day.

It only seems to happen when I'm due on.

My need to wee is definitely heightened by hormones! Not sure if unusual but it makes sense if you consider we bloat and hold water before our periods... I also (sorry) poo way more when I'm on

Yaflamingalah · 10/08/2019 22:06

Personally I retain a shit load of water for about a week before my period and then it all has to come out in the couple of days before and during my period.

Kitk I have that problem too Hmm oh such fun

Yep, I'm really self conscious of the fact that I need to go every 30 min at work for a few days, and have to excuse myself in meetings. It's just since I had the mirena in, and I'm not having periods, but can still tell where I am in my cycle from how often I need to pee (among other unpleasant symptoms).

CoolWivesClub2019 · 10/08/2019 22:11

No BUT I have ‘period poo’ - much more often/loose (sorry tmi) for a couple of days.

I always thought I was odd then it randomly came up in convo with a group of 5 of us on a night out...and every one of us (in our 30s) was gobsmacked to discover we all had it and ‘period poo’ is an actual thing 😂 as we’d all individually thought we were just weird!

Carinattheliqorstore1 · 10/08/2019 22:11

Yes! I have this too

OldAndWornOut · 10/08/2019 22:13

I used to get that, plus the farts, and also dire rear as the cancer thread call it.
It made for a worrying time!

Iilana · 11/08/2019 16:59

Yes I get the same when I'm due on peeing (very full bladder every time) very regularly sometime twice an hour. However now I'm 7 months pregnant I'm peeing with this regularity for more than a few days a month 😂😂😭

formerbabe · 11/08/2019 17:13

Water retention

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 11/08/2019 17:18

Wait til you hit the peri menopause, it's like pregnancy all over again! Confused

Siameasy · 11/08/2019 17:20

I seem to hold onto loads of water beforehand and then when it starts I constantly need a wee!

bambalaya · 11/08/2019 17:24

I'm exactly the same. Luckily, I have no other symptoms to know I'm pre menstrual, and my cycle can be irregular, so when I'm hunting for a loo for a day or two, I know I'm due.

MingeOnFire · 11/08/2019 17:51

This happens to me for a couple of days a month, I also get constipated at the same time. It's almost like my colon can't retain any water and it all comes out as wee. Also the constipation causes pressure on my bladder making the urgency worse.......

Crikeycrikeyblimeymoses · 11/08/2019 20:11

It could be that the uterus is at its heaviest with blood/lining and pressing on the bladder.

Iilana · 11/08/2019 22:01

@dontforgetyourbrolly yeah I'm definitely not looking forward to that, my poor MIL is going through menopause at the moment and the hot flushes look mightily uncomfortable (esp in recent hot weather). Us women do not have it easy with all these hormone and bodily changes.

Mummaofmytribe · 11/08/2019 22:06

Yes! I'm constantly weeing just before and during my period. Ridiculous no of trips to loo. And yes to the period poo. Constipation beforehand then all kinds of horrors during period. Also experience constipation around mid cycle. TMI Confused
Such joy. It's getting worse (now late 40s)

user1473878824 · 11/08/2019 22:08

I do too, I assumed it was that everything was a bit bigger/moving about more than usual. Same with the dreaded period poos.

JustOneLastThing · 11/08/2019 22:13

I have this too! The day before I get my period I'm constantly piddling. Big wees too, and they are clear- almost water like clarity. I thought it was just me!
