Need advice please for anyone in the know. I steamed cod loin yesterday and it cooled to room temperature. Later I made a sauce on the stove to blend with it (baby's batch cooking) and without thinking added the cod into the pot to mix (while sauce was hot).
My question - have I effectively already reheated the fish so can now not freeze it? Or would it be okay to freeze once cooled?! The fish was never put in the fridge or freezer, it only got to room temperature until I put it in the sauce.
