AIBU to ask you for help/recommendations with bathroom

I’ve just bought my first place after many years thinking it wouldn’t happen. I’m really excited but also pretty clueless. It has a tiny bathroom which is falling apart and will need to be refitted before moving in - I’ve looked for lots of ideas online for inspiration and I finally have some. But I’m terrified of finding someone who might be able to do it for me.

Can I ask if you have any recommendations of small family businesses that might do this? I found a lovely one but they only do kitchens. I would rather steer away from the chains etc. It’s only a small bathroom but I was wondering would it be possible to sit down with someone to talk through ideas/designs/materials and then get them to fit it and oversee it for me? Is that possible?

London is quite big, you need to be more specific. Trades people won't be trekking halfway across town for a small job.

Ask family, friends, colleagues, neighbours for recommendations. It's the best way.
