Close friend and I had plans to meet up. These days we tend to meet as a group but I’d really like to see them 1 to 1 a bit more. Asked which eves were free, eventually we settled on a day. I messaged to confirm today, nothing back then messaged again. They said they’d been exhausted so could we do the day after within a group so basically cancelling our plans. These things happen but I’m sad and disappointed! That I had to chase and that they don’t want to meet up just us (although probably should get over that one, perhaps that’s just life!) - I replied saying I was here to chat but that it was a shame they couldn’t make it. Should I start making less of an effort?

She's tired, doesn't want two nights out in a week with the same person, or might have financial issues. I understand your need for 1-2-1 time - can that be achieved by eg going to each others house, tea/coffee chat rather than going out ?
