We were there a couple of weeks ago and my son bought a tiger keyring which he has carried around with him ever since. The inevitable happened today and he's lost it Sad.

I'm hoping some lovely Mumsnetter might be able to get me one and post it to us? I would, of course, transfer the cost of the keyring and the postage. I have a picture of my daughter's koala keyring which is the same so can show you a rough idea what it looks. like.

It was only £3 but he loved it Sad.

Something similiar happened to me (not Longleat) and the gift shop allowed me to order by phone. Drop them a line? [email protected]

DisaronnoConnoisseur · 08/08/2019 19:43

Don't know if they would send one but no harm in asking.

Info from their website:

Hope they can do something for you, although I'm sure someone from here will come good for you.

If you post the picture of the koala and the make, MN might be able to find it online. Unless it was a Longleat branded thing?

HaplessHousewife · 08/08/2019 19:45

I have emailed but it was after they shut so hoping to have a backup plan in case they say no. He's crying Sad.

I am also slightly cross as he insists on taking things out with him and this was bound to happen sooner or later.

I have googled but there is no branding and I can't find anything like it so I think it must be a Longleat thing.

Just in case here is the Koala

DD is going with her dad next week. If you don't manage to get hold of one I can send them on a mission, they won't mind.

HaplessHousewife · 08/08/2019 19:58

Thank you so much PooWillyBumBum, I'll wait and see if I get a response from Longleat and let you know if you're really sure they won't mind.

As an aside, DS would love your user name Grin.

I'm going at the end of the month. If you're not sorted by then, let me know. I'd be happy to help 🐯

PooWillyBumBum · 08/08/2019 20:08

They won't mind at all. My ex and his wife are nice people and my 11yo would find it a fun mission :)

HaplessHousewife · 08/08/2019 20:15

I'll wait and see if I get a response from them tomorrow but thank you so much for your kind offers of help.

We went to Longleat because the kids love watching Animal Park and DS, in particular, absolutely loves animals but we all fell in love with the koalas. We didn't know they had them until we got there so it was a nice surprise and they are now DD's favourite animal – tigers still win for DS so it was a shame the cubs weren't out yet.

NEWS FLASH

Thank you for the very kind offers but a lovely man at Longleat rang me today and they're posting one out and not even charging me the postage Smile.

He said he'd dealt with two people this week who'd rung to replace toys that had been eaten by the dog!
