Babies due date and stress levels OTT

I'm due my first baby today, I'm already stressing myself out over possible induction next week and I've spent the past couple of days doing ANYTHING to get this baby moving. I had a bloody show and midwife says I was 3cm dialated so I decided to stay at my mams for the past 3 days as my partner works all day and sometimes gets in about midnight (mum wants to keep an eye on me)
I've been coming down to my house to walk my two dogs while partners at work, my dogs are like my kids to me and I know it sounds daft and all but they are, anyways I came home yesterday to find his stepdad already in my house messing around with my front door lock and had the dogs on the lead ready to take them to his house. So I'm not sure if partner had been on to him but I found it strange that I wasn't informed of this.
Now my partner has started his leave today and we came home and I realised my dogs tail has been cut (fur) and I've just completely flipped! AIBU but I know 'they're just dogs' but you wouldn't take someone's dog out of their home and then go and cut their tail fur short as ever! She's a shih tzu so she's got a lovely groomed coat and now no tail to go with it!! I screamed and ask partner why this has happened, he says he wasn't informed about it and to calm down!
I'm about to have this baby and I'm not sure if it's hormones but I'm furious!!!!
I've just had a bath and now I'm going to bed, partner asked if I was okay and made some snide remark about giving him the silent treatment. Fucked off to say the least!

Massive Overreaction on your part, sorry. Though I suspect it's due to your hormones and being thoroughly overwrought at the moment, which is understandable. Let it go, it's not important in the grand scheme of things, the fur will grow back.

My dogs tail is his character and I would be immensely fucked off if someone tampered with it. If I was just about to go into labour (you are btw) I would not wish my rage on my worst enemy.

However, you’ve had your tantrum and now you need to chill and preserve your energy. I might be the worst person in the world but would a tiny glass of wine be relaxing?

Thebig3 · 09/08/2019 18:19

Have you asked why the tail was cut? Could something have got on the fur and only solution was to cut it?

TidyDancer · 09/08/2019 18:29

Er yeah, slight overreaction!

TooManyPups · 09/08/2019 20:28

Whilst it's a hormonal over reaction I'm 7m gone myself and my reaction would be the same... Someone cut my dogs and I'd cut the person's hair throat whilst they slept!
I am totally unhinged and a hormonal mess at the moment though lol
I am dreading leaving anyone in charge of them while I am in labour.

Yeah...I'd just go to sleep.
