AIBU about this "bet"

Long time reader, NC tho...
Right, so I try to let things wash over me mostly, I try to be easy going...but.....
Years ago when my dc was a wee baby, we sat around at a family meal and joked about when dc would be taller than another (short) family member. It was merrily recorded, for fun. In recent years an email was sent, partially in jest, about said guesses.
ExH -dcs dad (we sepd when dc was 2ish, now 9) emails to say "new wife would like to chip in with age xx".
No-one really replied, but I was annoyed because....well you can't put on a bet after the race has begun can you... I said nothing but silently seethed with annoyance at the proposal
Dc was measured again recently and wife has emailed to say "have I won"...
There's no money actually involved, or even any kudos...but I'm stupidly annoyed that no-one else will gently point out how the F betting works!!
WIBU to point it out that's not how it works, she wasn't there when "bets" were placed as I was (somehow) actually married to her now dh...
Just gets my goat....
Anyone got any funny/sarcastic/hilarious words with which to point this out! Please!!!

I don't think it is worth getting your knickers in a twist over tbh. They have misjudged the situation, and will probably feel embarrassed and defensive if you point it out. There doesn't seem like there is anything malicious to it.

I think you're taking this too seriously.
