Pretty sure my old one was the Indesit counter top model. Loved it so much I occasionally hugged it. YANBU!

Christ tell me about it. I am looking at the dirty fuckers now....used to have a dishwasher, not so in the new house. Its like Sky Plus, once you've had it it's so hard to go back!

Completely forgot about this thread sorry ha! Grin im still dreading doing them every day. What prices are reasonable for tabletop dishwashers? Dreading getting home from work. Id rather starve than do the dishes ha!

I have a very small kitchen and in the end I decided it was worth losing a cupboard to fit a proper slimline dishwasher in. I also treated myself to a pyrex baking tray and a couple of stainless steel casserole pans (no long handle) so that now nearly all the dishes and cookware can go in the dishwasher.

How many people are creating washing up in your house? If its more than just you I don't think a tabletop would get you very far.

I have a dishwasher and still hate doing the dishes, sometimes I actually find it easier to wash up

I've got an Indesit countertop one, had it over 4 years, changed my life. Not sure which model so will attach a photo. Never bothered to plumb it in properly so it just drains into the sink.

It has a speed wash that only takes half an hour, so I load it, do other stuff in the kitchen for 20 mins, then stop it before the end of the cycle when it's just drying and reload it to run again.

Literally haven't washed anything up myself for years Grin

That's the microwave on top to save space btw.

The first home we had as a married couple didn’t have enough space fo dishwasher and the amount of storage I wanted and I decided not to have a dishwasher. I’m not saying it was enjoyable do do the dishes by hand but I found having something interesting to listen to in the background made it a bit more bearable. I also used to put hand cream/treatment/oil on my hands, cover with cotton gloves then rubber gloves and looked at it as a beauty treatment time to make myself feel better. My hands did look very nice during that time. Back then, I didn’t know top dishwashers existed.
Second e already had a dishwasher but I had no idea how to use it so didn’t bother for a long time and I’m sure people used to think I was stupid because of it. Anyway fast forward a number of years, different house, and I use my dishwasher all the time. But there is still hand washing to be done sometimes.
I know someone who had 2 dishwashers installed in their new kitchen, everybody knew about it apart from her husband who found out over a year later Grin.
