Hate pictures of myself

When I look in the mirror I don’t usually mind what I see, but why oh why when I see a picture of myself all I can see is my flabby tummy by and wonky teeth? I feel like I’m actually looking at a totally different person and wonder what other people actually see? Just rambling but anyone else feel like this?

Yes, totally agree. I don't recognise myself in photos and I sometimes catch sight of myself in a shop window and wonder why that slightly chubby, middle aged woman is looking at me 😢

Yes I'm completely like this too! Really hate any pictures of myself. I know I don't look like that in the mirror, but how is it that every single picture taken by someone else or even when I try and do a selfie with DS (definitely not a selfie type of person) I look 2 stone heavier, and all around the face/neck? They can't all just be 'a bad angle' Confused

Same here. I know I've gained weight, but jesus. And my face is always really odd looking.

BuckingFrolics · 03/08/2019 22:47

Me too. I just focus on the me I see in the mirror (glasses off nice and blurred) and dismiss all photos as gifts of Satan

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 03/08/2019 22:48

I'm exactly the same as well.

All the time. I hate myself in photos. I’m always shocked by just how ugly I am.

Honestly, I think almost everyone feels like this, don't they? I don't know many people who like seeing photos of themselves.

I think that's why selfies are popular - it's the only time when we have complete control over what the photo looks like and can take it from the one angle we're at least slightly happy with!
