Do you know what bit you? Could it be a tick - I thought those "bulls eye" rings could be indicative of Lymes Disease.

Have you tried antihistamines as suggested? I think I would look for a second opinion if it's getting worse.

I would get that looked at again, especially if there is a chance it could have been a tick. I take it you didn't see what bit you? Didn’t brush something off? It would be unusual not to notice a tick.

Mabelface · 02/08/2019 07:49

Yeah, looks like a tick bite. You'll need antibiotics.

Windygate · 02/08/2019 08:27

Both DH & DS have been bitten by ticks and the marks were very similar to your photo. I'd push for a second opinion and antibiotics.

Ginormoustrawberry · 02/08/2019 08:28

Definitely get seen again

I would get a second opinion today and ask about Lyme.

Go back and push for appropriate assessment. Lyme is not to be messed with.

If it was a tick, you'd surely have noticed it still in there. They don't bite and leave, they stay around to suck your blood.

It looks like the reaction DH gets to anything that bites him. Painful and itchy, but goes down a few days later.
However, if it's an unusual reaction for you, it's probably worth asking a doctor to check.
The only time I reacted like DH I did need antibiotics (although not a tick bite)

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 02/08/2019 08:58

Looks similar to my reaction. I had Lyme Disease. My circles started closer to the bite but still the target look.

Windygate · 02/08/2019 20:45

Witchend my husband didn't notice a tick nor did we ever find one. However he was bitten by a tick and did develop Lymes disease within hours. Doctor reckoned the fat and engorged tick fell off.
