To ask when this hair craziness stops?

My LB is almost 2 and I lost LOTS of hair 7 months post birth, thought it had finally settled down after going through a crazy mullet phase when it grew back but noooo I have MORE regrowth coming through! Sticking straight up like a fraggle!!

When did your hair go back to normal? Did it ever?
Am I destined to look like I have an 80s mullet for life??

Pic to show start of new growth...excuse the roots!!

Regrowth is a good thing. I lost between 1/3 and 1/2 of my hair volume post-birth and it never fully recovered.

Try Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny serum or the John Frieda serum to smoothe your hair down; both work a treat.

Your hair is trying to regrow, so I would I would give it as much help as possible and you will be able to speed up the process! start treating your hair like a restoration project- minimise or remove any heat styling (save for special occasions), stop bleaching, regularly deep condition, and consider a satin pillowcase or wrapping your hair at night. This will help your hair grow as strong and healthily as possible, so your regrowth doesn't keep breaking off and staying short, and to encourage more regrowth so you get the hair back that you have lost! I transformed the condition of my hair by doing this and a couple years later is now naturally long, stronger than ever and thick. Also invest in as good a quality shampoo and conditioner as you can afford. If that sounds terrifying, just whack it up in a bun and blame it on having a tiny baby to look after! In a couple months your hair will be shampoo-advert worthy, I'm sure!

I have the same, mostly obvious at the front. I look like a crazy lion’s mane!!! I’m 20 months post birth and it’s finally getting long enough to be able to disguise by smoothing it into a pony tail BUT in a pony tail you can see the layer growing at the back because it isn’t long enough to reach!
I’ve just accepted it’ll be another 6 months or so before I lose the crazy lion look.

Don't worry, mullets are back in.

I lost handfuls each time I washed my hair after both of my babies. My shower looked like it had a drowned rat in it after every shower. It does grow back but depends on how fast your hair grows. My youngest is 16 months and the sticky up bits are now long enough to lie flat. However this has created something of a mushroom effect on my head as there is so much hair around my scalp compared to the ends.
I found getting a really good hair cut helped when it was at the tufty stage helped. I stopped just shoving my hair in a mum bun as tying it back was pulling on the hair and further stressing it. I have a long bob which has been cut with some texture to it and I use beachy-tyoe products to have wavy surfer hair which helps hide the regrowth too
Taking biotin seems to have made a difference to both my hair and nails.

It'll grow. It just takes a while to look a bit less lion-y
