Garage sale in the uk?

WIBU to have a table top sale outside my house?
I've got far too much to fit in my car for a car boot and I'm fundamentally lazy so this would just be easier 😆
Would my neighbours think I'm weird?

It's legal on your own land but I doubt you will sell anything, it's just not something people stop for even on a busy road we barely had anyone (did it for blue Peter a few years back

We've had a few near us, they're usually advertised on a local Facebook community group and the ones we've been to have been quite busy.
I think it depends where you live and what you're selling, but the more you post about it, and if you give people an idea of what you've got, you should get people come along.
Otherwise, have you thought of posting on Facebook Marketplace?

Quite common in our village but usually well advertised ahead on the local fb pages.

I bought my daughter a lovely wooden dolls crib from a garden sale run by a couple of little girls but I don't think they got much trade. Many people just don't have cash on them any more and don't expect to buy things randomly. Also, many people here just leave things on the pavement with a note saying take me if they don't want it anymore - we got a hamster cage and run the other day that way...I do live in a posh area but I myself am poor so will take the free stuff!!

Really popular here in NZ. People put up cardboard signs at the end of the road with an arrow and GARAGE SALE. Also take pictures of the sale laid out onto facebook ages etc.
Really depends on how much foot traffic you have in the area. also specify a time so you're not there all day. Make the items cheap and easy to take away.
