Is this what I should really expect from something promoted as Lamb ?

I had to search to find the three small lumps of meat and one barely qualifying at all.

I haven't bought one of these in a while and cant remember being so disappointed, maybe its a one-off and I was unlucky this time.

AIBU to be disappointed with this amount of meat?

I feel very short-changed AIBU?

I placed the small lumps at the bottom right and above of this pic (it wouldn't post on the 'create post' for some reason).

Made with "invisible lamb" perhaps?

ScreamingValenta · 30/07/2019 21:06

Quite apart from the lack of lamb, it doesn't exactly look appetising. Why have they mixed rice into it? (to bulk it out at low cost, I suppose, but I don't expect rice mixed into a rogan josh)

MrsTommyBanks · 30/07/2019 21:07

That's shocking. I'd be outraged.

This happened as a result of me trying to fork through it in search of any lamb Sad

I had to zoom in to see the lamb ffs.

Disappointing from Sainsbury’s. Be sure to tweet them, they usually have good customer service in my experience.

BarbaraofSeville · 30/07/2019 21:33

Does it say a percentage of lamb and can you extra the lamb, weigh it and work out if you have anywhere near what you are supposed to have?

I can imagine that the amount of meat in a supermarket curry could vary if they have a giant vat of curry being dispensed by a machine onto a production line of trays. Perhaps you were unlucky, but it could be worth complaining. Supermarkets often send a voucher in response to complaints.

Does 'My Goodness' refer to it being a healthy eating version, which could be 'low meat lots of veg'?

Passthecherrycoke · 30/07/2019 21:34

That doesn’t look good! Disappointing

RedSheep73 · 30/07/2019 22:01

Reminds me of a Sainsburys Moroccan chickpea soup I had that had one chickpea in it!

Smotheroffive · 30/07/2019 23:40

That sounds interesting, yes, that 'my goodness' has low meat content deliberately. Maybe thats the reason.

It says 16% so almost a fifth of it. Hmm

I hadnt noticed there was spinach actually, until I just read the sleeve again!

It was quite tasty, although I hadnt been looking forward to it, for obvious reasons.

All I think about when I hear lamb is gorgeous, fleecey, soft baby animals! Sad

Smotheroffive · 31/07/2019 00:58

I also adore fluffy bonkers lambs when they're alive. They are endless hours of fun to watch playing with each other and plaguing their mothers!

All ready meals are like this, utter rubbish IMO
