AIBU to just go back to bed?

I obviously can't, but my morning has been a disaster and I feel like going back to bed!

In the space of the last two hours I have had the skits twice, my period started, the puppy (6 month old mahoosive German Shepherd) ran outside and had a runny poo on the path (back garden which I will hose after 9, the puppy barks at the hose so too early just now) the cat started heaving on the the window sill inside so I carried her out the back door and in my haste to stop the puppy eating the puke 🤢, I slipped in the poo, dropped my phone from my dressing gown pocket and the screen is cracked!!

I can't drive as I had surgery on a broken arm two weeks ago so at 11 my dad is picking me up to drive me 1.5 hours away to watch my son in his first Scottish youth fly fishing international, and staying up there for two nights. My case isn't finished being packed as I was a lazy sod last night!

I want to start the day over!! Has anyone got a time turner??

Sounds crap! I'm always baffled though why people make their lives so much harder by getting pets?! Confused

Anyway, I hope your day improves and get ready so you can watch your ds!

TheGlitterFairy · 30/07/2019 08:27

Poor you - horrible start to the day. Hopefully it improves!!

Livebythecoast · 30/07/2019 08:45

You sound like Frank Spencer!
Not a great start to the morning - hope it improves, it can't get any worse surely?

MrsMozartMkII · 30/07/2019 08:47

Oops!

Um. Hopefully all the bad shit is over now and the trip will go smoothly. Good luck to your son.

MummyDummyNow · 30/07/2019 08:50

You poor thing what a start to the day! Hoping things vastly improve for you OP.

MmmBlowholes · 30/07/2019 08:54

That is a heinous start to the day! Thiiiiiiings can only get bettteerrrrrr

MushySeas · 30/07/2019 08:54

Well I've given in and I'm back in bed for an hour or so while my painkillers kick in as my period started too.

But you've certainly made me feel a whole lot less sorry for myself! Hope your day improves. Is has to!

BluebellsareBlue · 30/07/2019 09:22

I'm laughing at frank spencer!!! Yes things CAN only get better.

Currently packing with one arm and then I'll take the dog out in this gorgeous sunshine ☀️

Here's a pic of the baby to hopefully make you smile, he'll grow into his ears one day.

Pets boost your mood and generally improve the quality of your life. Many studies are saying the same thing now. This is why therapy animals are a thing. Now.. don't get me wrong, I consider dogs to be too much work to be worth it for me, I'm a cat person, but it's very easy to see how having a dog would be worth it emotionally. They're just lovely bastards aren't they.

BluebellsareBlue · 30/07/2019 10:05

@Damntheman you are soo right. I have severe ptsd and anxiety, I work full time and my dad looks after cooper during the day (well not for the last four weeks as I've been off for surgeries on my broken arm) but I now get out in the evenings with my lovely, lively puppy. He brings me so much joy and has markedly brought down my anxiety and then I cosy on the couch with my Siamese and feel so much better. Smile

Sorry you're having a crappy morning OP. Your GSD pup is absolutely gorgeous..I'm very jealous!

Idontwanttotalk · 30/07/2019 10:30

So you and your dog have diarrhoea and your cat is heaving and about to vomit. Is there something wrong in your house that is causing this?

Livebythecoast · 30/07/2019 10:31

Awww, Cooper is gorgeous! Smile

BluebellsareBlue · 30/07/2019 11:08

@Idontwanttotalk, yes, I'm on the strongest codeine for my broken arm, the dog started on metacalm two days ago and the cat regurgitates her food even with a slow feeding bowl.

Gorgeous dog! My GSD girl is very appreciative Grin

Lemonlady22 · 30/07/2019 13:41

Nothing happened to me.....but i went back to bed and am still there. In my defence it raining and windy, so cant spend the day in the garden tidying up due to this.

BluebellsareBlue · 30/07/2019 14:50

So I am here, at Lake of Menteith. It's dulling over but still 22 degrees.

No disasters this afternoon except a spider crawling up my leg and I managed not to yelp!

Dad and I sitting on a bench listening to some of the welsh parents speaking their beautiful lilting welsh language and one of the dads treated us to Amazing Grace in Welsh when he went for a wee. He didn't know we could hear him and it was beautiful Smile

A perfect way to spend the afternoon, spider up leg side...
