To be a little bit wistful about the news that DS is to move up to Big Room at nursery?

Honestly, I can feel my bottom lip wobbling now. He's 2.10 and the nursery have said that he's been allowed to visit the upstairs (pre-school, basically) room now and again and he loves it, so they're arranging a date for him to move up there and giving him time up there to 'integrate' him.

ANd of course it's lovely that my little boy is growing up but... but... he's really not my little baby any more now, is he? Waa...

I know it's so emotional....

Ds is 3.3 and I took him up to the 'big room' when I dropped him off one day last week. They were all sitting round a chalk board and one of the nursery ladies was playing a game with them to help them recognise letters.
So, mainly for my benefit, she said "whose name starts with a T?", and ds jumped up and drew the wobbliest letter T on the chalkboard. I cried coz I didn't know he could do that!!! (obviously in my head he's still only 2!)

I was the same when dd moved out of the baby room fgs.

Everyone seems so much bigger in the big rooms.
