To cook some party food the night before?

Morning MN!

It's my DD's birthday this weekend and we're having a small family 'party' and I'll be putting on some food. I don't want to be stressed on the morning having XYZ to cook so was thinking I could cook some bits the night before?

I was thinking of doing the sausage rolls, cocktail sausages and chicken drumsticks the night before. Cover in cling film and stick in the fridge. Make the sandwiches in the morning and cook the pizzas just before people arrive.

Does that sound ok? I haven't really done a spread before! Please help!

Absolutely. As long as everything is cooled properly, you seem to have a great handle on it.

I'd always do as much preparation the night before, but couldn't you put the sausage rolls in with the pizzas as they're much nicer warm?

Thanks! I'll definitely do some prep tonight. We have a tiny oven so no chance of doing the pizzas and sausage rolls all together. But I might do them before and wrap in foil.
