I'll start with Priti Patel....daughter of immigrants being xenophobic and wanting to curb immigration.
Boris leaving his wife with 4 kids as a member of a party that targets single mums.

Can you give an actual example of a way in which the Conservative party ‘targets’ single mothers?

Lots of the Labour Party front bench (including Corbyn and Abbot) went to or sent their children to private school - want to abolish them.

This quote from Boris Johnson when Gordon Brown became PM without holding a general election. I look forward to BJ calling an immediate general election now that he is in the exact same position.

“An investment fund founded by Rees-Mogg sets up post-Brexit vehicle in Dublin as the fund’s asset managers worry about being cut off from European investors after Brexit”.

Corbyn got divorced over the issue of sending his son to grammar school. Which of his children went to private school?

Smileyaxolotl1 · 26/07/2019 07:19

carrieblue He went to private prep school (I said either went to or sent their children to)

Looks like this thread has brought out the critical thinking crowd....

Not JC's greatest fan, but I don't think he can be held responsible for the school his parents chose to send him to!

CarrieBlue · 26/07/2019 07:26

@Smileyaxolotl1 not really his choice where he was sent to school, and may just be why he is against selective education. Hardly hypocritical to be against something you’ve experienced, and pretty brave to put your principles above a relationship.

Smileyaxolotl1 · 26/07/2019 07:31

Fair enough - but the same then applies to the OP’s condemnation of Priti Patel.

NanFlanders · 26/07/2019 08:42

Yes. Also a fair point
