I know this isn't the place but I want answers. Grin

What are you putting your babies/toddlers in to sleep? I don't have a thermometer in our bedroom, but it feels very warm too hot to sleep and humid. Just put DS (14 months) down in a nappy and short sleeved vest.

Just wondering as I don't want him to get chilly but feel like he'd overheat in his gro-bag. He doesn't like blankets, no clue why but he just throws them out of the cot. Confused

When it was this warm - just a nappy no covers.

wikowiko · 24/07/2019 19:37

If I left her in just a nappy she'd have it off as soon as she woke up!

Sosososotired · 24/07/2019 19:37

Our bedroom must be 30 degrees, it’s horrendous. Toddler is in a nappy with no covers.

wikowiko · 24/07/2019 19:38

Oops, rest of my post disappeared. Just put DD to bed in a short-sleeved vest. Hottest day in history where I am today.

zebrapig · 24/07/2019 19:46

19mo DS has gone to bed in a nappy and 0.5tog grobag (a sheer basically).

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 24/07/2019 19:48

Just a nappy, it's going to be 22 degrees at the lowest here tonight

AbbyNormal · 24/07/2019 19:49

We've done the same as you OP with 10 month old DD. Just nappy and a vest.

MustStopSnacking28 · 24/07/2019 19:49

I have just put 15 month old DS in his nappy. He was so sweaty even just in that!

GruciusMalfoy · 24/07/2019 19:50

It would just be happy and a vest here, no covers, we're not quite as warm as elsewhere though. Better for them to wake you by being a bit chilly, than to be too warm.

crispysausagerolls · 24/07/2019 19:56

Nappy and short sleeved vest. No covers.

Covers and/or sleeping bag in this weather is insane IMO.

Firefly111 · 24/07/2019 20:00

We have put 8 MO DD down in a nappy and vest, we are in the NW so not quite as hot as down south but still showing 25 in her room. Got the fan on in there also but not blowing directly on her. I’ll check on her before I go to bed and might pop a cellular blanket over her if she feels cool but if last night is anything to go by she’ll be fine in just a vest.

starfishcoffee · 24/07/2019 20:03

Thank you all - just needed a bit of reassurance! Definitely better for him to wake a bit chilly than too hot.

Last summer he was just in a nappy during the hottest nights. But similar to PP, now DS takes great pleasure in removing his nappy and peeing everywhere at any given opportunity. Hmm

Nappy and short sleeved vest, no covers, for my 8 month old. He also has the fan on in his room. I’ll assess when I go to bed later and might turn the fan off. We do have a thermometer in his room but it’s showing an error code so I assume it’s too hot even for it! Confused

ColaFreezePop · 24/07/2019 20:24

Nappy and short sleeve vest.

My LO will crawl out of blanket/sheet if too hot.

Drogonssmile · 24/07/2019 20:32

Mines nearly three and in a pull up and 0.5 tog gro bag. Mainly so he doesn't pull his pull up off. He seems quite a comfortable temperature. It's about 26 in his room.
