Ex popping round whenever he wants

As the title says, he does this on a regular basis. We live 5 mins from each other, it has its advantages and disadvantages, and this is one of them! I’ve told him he’s welcome to see the kids whenever he wants, but let me know first. He takes it onboard, and texts me before he’s coming. He does this a few times before going back to his old ways.

Today I was making dinner for us, and he just decided to pop round after work. The kids are always happy to see him, and I don’t want to spoil it for them, but it’s starting to grate on me.

I think you should tell him you have changed your mind about him seeing them whenever he likes - that is the crux of the issue. It's not working, text or no text.

Decide some times between you and stick to them. And preferably not in your house.

Days and times I mean. Set up his time with them in a more fixed manner.
