Abit lighthearted!
Is this a thing?
At BBQ and a woman asked the host to run her icelolly under the tap because in her words it was "too cold", are ice lollies not meant to be cold Confused

And she’ll just melt it... ice doesn’t get warmer...🤣

munemema · 23/07/2019 16:55

Hmm, I haven't heard that one but ice cream is definitely better when left out of the freezer microwaved for a bit.

PivotPivotPivottt · 23/07/2019 17:02

I used to do this when I was a child. Stops them sticking to your tongue!

statetrooperstacey · 23/07/2019 17:04

It’s a thing yes, it’s stops the brain freeze freezer burn type thing. You can’t even taste a lolly till it’s warmed up a bit ! Yabu!

troppibambini · 23/07/2019 17:05

I leave mine on the side for a few minutes to melt a bit. I can't stand them all crunchy and hard!

MissPollyHadADolly19 · 23/07/2019 17:09

Yy to ice cream being left out - especially haagen dasz(sp?)!!

I just would of thought in this weather (UK) as soon as you take it out the freezer it's basically going to be abit melty anyway!
It's the first time I've ever heard someone say it in public atleast!

I always used to do this with ice lolly’s for my son, it stopped his tongue sticking to them

Stillstrawberrywater · 23/07/2019 17:10

The sort of person who would willingly moan about a cold ice lolly is more than likely prepared to moan about everything and anything.

Mummyshark2018 · 23/07/2019 17:12

Like others have said it's to stop tongues sticking to it, especially if it's got frost on it.
