I have never posted in AIBU before and am fully expecting to be flamed.
I was walking back to my car at the supermarket an hour or so ago when a man pulls up next to my car at quite an angle. Initially I was already a little bit annoyed as I now couldn't get DS into his seat easily seeing as he was so close. I'm thinking surely this kind of negates the point of a parent and child space, hoping his kids don't dent my car etc. He immediately gets out and lights up, DS is in car now with windows open as it's very very hot and smoke is wafting in as he's quite close (stood behind his car with its arse end practically in my space). Again, I'm a bit annoyed but no biggie. Then I notice he has no kids (very old van with big windows iykwim) and has taken the last parent and child space seemingly to have a cigarette. I really wanted to say something at this point but chickened out and just give him a bit of a look as I drove off.
The thing is now I'm so mad at him and I'm not even sure why. It was no massive inconvenience to me but he just seemed like such an entitled tosspot and didn't even consider someone might not want to drag their child across the sweltering car park so he could have move room to park.
