Sat at the kitchen table and watching a sparrow on my fence. Then it flew from the fence into my patio door, and back again Confused distance is probably only about a foot, and it didn't look hurt.

But just now, about 10 minutes later, heard a louder bang on the glass. A sparrow (the same one?) Hovering at my door at my height and staring at me Confused

What's going on? Am I doomed?

Are you ice blonde?
If so, yes, I fear you are.

Hey, you'll be an icon though!

If it's any consolation, you're obviously keeping your patio doors too clean Smile
Perhaps you need a couple of those sticker things on them.

Sparklfairy · 20/07/2019 08:16

I'm not sure which I wish more... that I was ice blonde or my patio doors were clean...

Whatever you do, do not put on a cute little skirt and jacket.

I had this the other day. I was in the back garden. Hundreds of starlings were on the roof of our house and garage. Then they flew between the house behind us, our neighbours, then back to ours... Never seen so many. I swear they were watching us with their beady eyes and hive mind. Sinister!

landoflostcontent · 20/07/2019 08:26

We have just had a serious outbreak of jackdaws. Twenty one of them sitting on the neighbouring house roof staring at us in an intimidating way. I was about to hide under the stairs Grin when they all decided to go and annoy someone else

Sparklfairy · 20/07/2019 12:49

They're really intimidating aren't they! Even the cat was like NOPE

Would you believe it - today I haven't seen one!

GrainneWail · 20/07/2019 16:06

Birds are being bastards today... Dh's flight has just been cancelled due to bird strike.

landoflostcontent · 21/07/2019 08:43

34 of the blighters last night - sat in a row across two neighbours houses. I think they are coming for me...

RighteousSista · 21/07/2019 08:56
  1. Are we in proximity to a full moon?
  1. Maybe ze birdz are telling us about climate change as part of the Extinction Rebellion latest campaign?! 😁
landoflostcontent · 21/07/2019 14:13
  1. I believe it is waning gibbous 82% today
  1. Makes you wonder who is running the campaign - Extinction Rebellion or Jackdaws
Sparklfairy · 21/07/2019 14:15

Dh's flight has just been cancelled due to bird strike

I read that in the context of 'industrial strike' and was momentarily confused

I wish the feathery fuckers had downed tools and refused to be on site and we hadn't missed half of our very long awaited break Sad
